DESIGNING A THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK FOR PLANNING SPIRITUAL CURRICULUM OF RELIGIOUS TEXTBOOKS AT PRIMARY SCHOOL LEVEL

Abstract

 The statistical population in this research in the first step included all religious textbooks of primary school level and in the second step included 326 primary students in Karaj city selected through cluster random method. The research type was descriptive using content analysis in the firststep and was experimental in the second step. A 26-item researcher-made questionnaire with the reliability index of 0.82 was used to collect data. To analyze data, descriptive and inferential statistics (independent T-test and Man Whitney’s test) were used. Results indicated that: 1) in respect to the rate of attention to spiritual components, the highest rate (72%) was for intellectuality and the lowest rate (3%) was for spiritual expense; 2) convenient SPIRITUAL CURRICULUM for primary level means a pattern based on 4 components of world awareness, other awareness, self awareness and God awareness for which Holy Quran has set aims, content, teaching and evaluation methods; 3) spiritual factors are different in the control and experimental groups but the same in both sexes.
