Abstract: 

Management in Humanities has a close relationship with culture in such a way that if you think of it for awhile you can notice the role of culture in every aspect of management. Therefore, different cultures require different types of management. Japanese management, Korean management, American managements, are instances that have been formed based on the special features of those special cultures. On the other hand, some of our holy leaders have had the opportunity to rule and manage their societies in their own era. It is evident that the Muslim leaders have had special methods of management that can be applied by the contemporary leaders. In addition, referring to religious sources can be a profitable way of extracting management instructions and interpretations. The given instructions provide the managers with dos and don’ts of managements. The managers can acquire these instructions and apply them in their performance. The present management does not suffice because it is mixed with western culture; so, it can not satisfy the management needs of Islamic countries. On the other side, each Muslim should follow God’s orders and behave in a way that is in harmony with the holy leaders and Imams. In this paper, the author attempts to present the management models offered in Quran and Islam.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present research is to study relationship between servant leadership and the quality of employees’ work life in the Curative Service Organization in Tehran in 2009. The method of research is descriptive and correlational. The research population comprises all 255 staff who work in the Curative Service Organization in Tehran. For determining the sample size, 154 persons were randomly chosen using Kergecy and Morgan Statistics Table. Sampling was done randomly using an interval method matched with the population size. The research tool was a questionnaire. In addition, to gather research data, the library and field work methods were applied. In order to analyze the data, the indexes of descriptive statistics as well as inferential statistics were computed through applying SPSS Software.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the obstacles that high school managers face playing their leadership roles both in girls and boys schools. The study also investigate the problems based on level of education, gender and the courses that the mangers have passed as OJT courses. Through studying the theoretical foundations and literature review in Iran and other countries, 63 subcomponents were extracted which showed the leadership obstacles and were categorized by experts under 6 components of leadership traits, structure, decision making, evaluation, communication, and process. Then, the researcher designed the questionnaire administered to 297 managers of the total population of 1261. It was done after the validity and reliability (0.93) of the research tool were confirmed. The results showed that: the components of structure, relationship, evaluation, leadership traits, and process are considered as obstacles for the high school managers. Furthermore, The most effective obstacle for leadership based on the obtained mean is structure and the least effective one is evaluation. The study also showed that there is no significant relationship between the managers’ gender and their views on the obstacles of leadership. There was a meaningful relationship between the mean obtained from the government-run schools and non-government schools. Regardless of the educational level of the managers, all of them face a kind of obstacles in their leadership. The last finding was that there is a significant relationship between facing leadership obstacles and passing OJT Courses.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present study is to investigate the teaching methods of university teachers according to the students’ and teachers, views in Islamic Azad University in the province of West Azabayjan in the academic year of 2008-09. The research tool designed based on the previous studies was a questionnaire whose external validity was examined by collecting the experts’ ideas. In addition, the reliability of the tool was reexamined and the index of 0.77 was obtained. In this study, 499 students and 30 teachers were chosen randomly from different fields of study. The data showed that the main effective aspects of teaching, according to students are: relationship skills, research method, and individual personality. The results also showed that the number of teachers who apply active methods are more than those who apply passive ones. The correlation between teaching methods and research activities was 0.87. In other words, teachers who apply active methods do more research than the other group. There was not meaningful relationship between the method of teaching and the use of lesson plan. Moreover, the study revealed that teachers with active methods paid more attention to human relationship, and were more open to positive criticism. The results emphasizes on training the academic staff, strengthening post graduate education, and the use of multi evaluative methods.

Abstract: 

Sa’adi’s implications on management mentioned in the introduction, first, and second chapters of his book, Golestan’ form the content of the present paper. These implications can be divided into the following 16 categories which refer to the managers’ application of the power of thinking, self awareness, observing justice, planning, economy, avoidance of greed, thankfulness of God’s blessing, forgiving the subordinates’ faults, theology, control over his speech, association with pious people, chance taking, respecting ancestors, patience, and protecting subordinates. Prior to each category, some examples given by some authors have been offered. Then, the related educational implications have been mentioned. No conclusion seems necessary for this article, because the three page introduction can be considered as conclusion too.

Abstract: 

The present study aims at investigating and identifying the competencies needed for educational managers. A population of 3594 principals were considered for this study including all those who worked in pre-elementary, elementary, junior-high, and high schools in the city of Tehran in the academic of 2007/08. The research sample consisted of 346 principals selected through applying Morgan random sampling index. The tool of data collection was a questionnaire validated by 20 experts. It also enjoyed a reliability of 0.82 calculated through applying Kronbach’s Alpha method. The results of data analysis showed that the most significant required competencies for educational managers are: management, leadership, social, technological, individual, economical (occupational and professional), spiritual, moral, religious, intelligence, cognitive, research, environmental, global, international, political, and cultural competencies. Therefore, it was recommended to plan the educational system in such a way that educational managers meet the abovementioned competencies in training courses.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present study is to compare two systems of scheduling courses and classes namely semester and yearly systems. The research is applied type as well as descriptive and survey. The research population consisted of 1415 staff who worked in the offices of high schools in the province of Golestan as well as the educational and research departments of the cities of Gonbad and Azadshahr. The research sample consisted of 312 staff who were randomly selected according to the Cokeran Scale. The researchers also applied Kolomogruft Simirnoff test to analyze the collected data. The research data confirmed all the research hypotheses at the 99% level of confidence.

Abstract: 

The research investigated the quality of employees’ work life of Education Organization in the city of Behshar. In order to do this, 132 employees were chosen randomly based on their occupational classification. The research method was survey. The tool for gathering data was a researcher-made questionnaire designed based on Watson’s model. The t-test, variances analysis, and Tukey’s tests were used to determine the situation of quality of work life of employees and differences of quality of work life of employees based on age, job experience, and occupational group. The results revealed seven dimensions of quality of work life were below the average and only social integration in the organization was around the average Comparing dimensions of quality of work life showed statistically significant differences among employees based on age, job experience, and occupational group.
