Abstract: 

This descriptive-correlational study aimed to examine the relationship between students, psychological empowerment and their knowledge sharing behaviors with regard to the role of attitude to knowledge sharing as a mediator variable. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The study’s respondents were a random sample (n=214) of full-time doctoral students of Shiraz University in the academic year of 91-92. Data of 214 questionnaires returned was analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) and Path analysis. The findings of the study indicated that there was a significant relation between psychological empowerment and both knowledge sharing behaviors and the attitudes to knowledge sharing among Shiraz University doctoral students.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present article was to grade organizational citizenship behavior indices in the foreign language institutes in district four of Tabriz Education Organization. Form among 98 institutes, 46 ones were sampled based on Bartlett’s Table. A use was made of a questionnaire inquiring about the institute directors’ opinions in order to draw the primary diagram and to create adjacency relations table. In addition, Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) technique was employed to analyze data. The results suggested that there are “altruist” and “civil behavior” components at the primary level indicating the high effectiveness of these two variables. At the second level are there the indices of “deontology” and “fairness”, and finally, “propriety” is the most effective index in organizational citizenship behavior model in the foreign language institutes of Tabriz.

Abstract: 

One of the goals of education is to maximize the commitment of educational staff. Therefore, factors, such as human resource development is supposed to be of significance. As such, the main purpose of this correlational study was to examine the simple and multiple relationship between employee development and organizational commitment. A sample of two-hundred and twenty six staff (203 male, 23 female) from education organization and district one and two of Zahedan City was selected through stratified random sampling method. It was administered Allen & Meyer’s Organizational Commitment Scale (OCQ) and a researcher-made questionnaire of employee development. The reliability of the instrument’s. was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. The results of correlation analyses indicated that there was a significant and positive relationship between employee development and organizational commitment. More specifically, it was revealed that there was a significantly positive relationship between the components of employee development including formal training, teamwork, career, interpersonal and organizational communication and organizational commitment. Stepwise regression analysis further suggested that teamwork could predict organizational commitment most.

Abstract: 

This descriptive correlational study aimed to investigate the relationship between communication skills and conflict resolution management strategies among the secondary school principals according to school teachers’ options in ChaharMahal and Bakhtiari province. The sample included 340 teachers selected using random stratified sampling method. A use was made of Barton’s Communication Skills and Robbin’s Conflict Management Strategies questionnaires with Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficients of 0.8land 0.92.8 respectively. Lambda effect, multiple regression, multivariate variance analysis and LSD post-hoc tests were employed in order to analyze the data. The results revealed that there was a significant relationship between communication skills and conflict management strategies (P£0.05). A relationship between the choice of conflict management strategy and the teacher’s experience could also be observed.

Abstract: 

This study aimed to compare the perceptions of principles’ and teachers’ about teacher job motivation factors. This study was a descriptive survey. The population of this descriptive survey included all high school teachers and principals of Lamerd and Mohr city (82 principals and 265 teachers) in the school year 90-91. A sample of 68 principals and 152 teachers was drawn based on Cochran formula using random cluster Sampling. In order to collect data a researcher-made questionnaire involving 12 items concerned with existence needs, membership, and growth was developed drawing upon Alderfer’s theory. The face and content validity of the instrument was approved by a panel of experts. Its Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient for principals and teachers were 0.83 and 0.79 respectively. Descriptive and inferential statistics and ANOY A were used to analyze data. The results indicated that whereas there was no significant difference between the perception of principals and teachers towards existence needs in relation to gender and education, there was a significant difference as regards membership and growth needs.

Abstract: 

This descriptive correlational study explored the relationship of organizational health and justice to staff professional development in education organizations. The population included all the staff in Education Organizations in four districts of Karaj city (n=600). A sample (n=235) was selected through systematic random method in accordance with Cochran formula. Research instruments were three questionnaires of organizational health (Hoy & Tarter, 2000), organizational justice (Moren & Niof, 1993; Moren, 1993; Moren, 1991; Moren, 1991), and professional development (Akfelit & Kof, 2005). Pearson’s correlation analysis was run to analyze data. Results indicated that there was a significantly positive correlation between organizational health dimensions (institutional, technical, and administrative) and organizational justice dimensions (distributive, procedural, and interactional) and staff professional development. This implies that the changes in the components of organizational justice and health would predict those in professional development.

Abstract: 

This descriptive-correlational study aimed to investigate the relationship of Organizational Culture and Intelligence to Job Satisfaction. The population of this study involved 70 personnel in Islamic Azad University in Eghlid. A random sample of 40 personnel was selected in accordance with Krejcie and Morgan’s Table. A use was made of three questionnaires of Organizational Culture, Organizational Intelligence, and Job Satisfaction. Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression inferential analyses were run to analyze data. The results of data analysis indicated that there was a significantly positive relationship between both organizational culture and organizational intelligence (all dimensions) and job satisfaction.

Abstract: 

The main objective of this descriptive survey was to assess employees’ organizational commitment at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (SUMS) based on their job expectations. The study population included 1560 staff with diploma to PhD degrees. A sample of 314 staff was drawn using random stratified sampling method. It was administered two questionnaires of Allen and Meyer’s (1991) organizational commitment and Lussier’s (2009) job expectation. Data were analyzed employing one sample t-test and interactive ANOV A. Results suggested that a) the employees’ organizational commitment at SUMS was more than adequate level, b) There was no significant difference between men and women’s organizational commitment according to their job expectations, c) There was a significant difference between job commitment levels of employees with different experiences and with different degrees in accordance with their job expectations, d) There was significant difference between employees’ organizational commitment with different educational degrees according to their job expectations. Therefore, depending on the level of education and experience the staff were differentially committed to the University.

Abstract: 

The present study aimed at investigating the relationship of the principals’ use of power types (obligatory, awarding, and legal) to the efficacy and organizational commitment of teachers in the second district of education organization in Shiraz. The design of the study was descriptive and correlational. The sample of the study consisted of 113 instructors currently teaching at high schools in Shiraz selected through simple random sampling based on Morgan’s Table. Three questionnaires of power management (developed by the current researchers), Parson’s efficacy, and organizational commitment (Madoy, Steerz, & Porter, 1974) were used in this study. Data analysis through Pearson correlation coefficients indicated that the relationship between power management and efficacy was statistically significant. From among the power types, awarding and legal ones had significant correlations with efficacy. On the other hand, no significant relationship was detected between power management and organizational commitment, and none of the power types was capable of predicting organizational commitment.

Abstract: 

The aim of the current study was to examine the relationship of total quality management and organizational communications to employment attrition of the staff members working at Y ASD in Fars, Iran. The research method was descriptive and correlational. The population of the study consisted of 160 staff members working at YASD in Fars province. A sample of 111 members was selected on the basis of Krejcie and Morgan’s Table through simple random sampling. Research data collection instruments were three questionnaires of Total Quality Management, Organizational communication, and Employment Attrition. Management experts’ comments were utilized to evaluate the validity of the instruments, and the reliability of the questionnaires was assessed through Cronbach’s alpha. The alpha indexes for Total Quality Management, Organizational Communications, and Employment Attrition questionnaires were 0.80, 0.949, and 0.774 respectively. To analyze data, Pearson correlation, multiple regression, and ANOY A were employed. The results of the statistical analysis indicated that there was a significant relationship between the dimensions of total quality management and both organizational communication and job attrition. From among the dimensions of total quality management and organizational communications, support and leadership of principals, events of quality improvement, profit, and attention to customer had strongest predictive power.

Abstract: 

This descriptive survey was purposed to study the present and desirable quality of educational services in master level programs at Islamic Azad University, Ardebil branch, based on SERVQUAL. The population included university M.A students (n=1794) educating at the second term in 1389-90 academic year. The study sample was selected through stratified random sampling (n=240). A researcher-made Likert type questionnaire was utilized in order to collect data in two phases. Its validity was established through content analysis by a panel of experts. Further, its reliabilities, the present quality and desirable quality, assessed using Cronbach’s alpha, were 0.931 and 0.868 respectively. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOV A. In general, results of this research indicated that there was a significant difference between present and desirable situation of educational service quality. However, there was no significant difference in educational service quality based on age, sex, discipline, and employment situation variables.

Abstract: 

The main objective of the present descriptive-correlational study was to determine factors affecting the improvement of in-service training programs for primary school teachers and educators in Shahinshar, Iran. The statistical population of the study included 392 primary school teachers and educators in Shahinshahr. A sample of 50 respondents was selected through cluster sampling method. A researcher- developed Likert type questionnaire containing 39 five-points close- ended items was the research instrument. Its reliability calculated by Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.88. Descriptive statistical techniques (e.g. percentage, mean, frequency, standard deviation) along with inferential statistics (e.g. t-test) were employed to analyze data. The findings revealed that teaching method, needs analysis, ongoing evaluation, application of encouragement and punishment, and supervising instruction could affect teachers’ in-service-training quality above average.
