Abstract

 Over the last decade, there have been significant efforts to develop libraries. In order to provide services that the users desire it is necessary first to evaluate exactly what users and potential users want from the LIBRARY. Advertised as a total market survey of an academic LIBRARY's users, LIBQUAL has risen to prominence in recent years as a means of assessing academic LIBRARY effectiveness.It is necessary to investigate how services are delivered and ensure the student's best interest being served. In this research we want to prioritize characteristics/quality components with fuzzy-TOPSIS technique that meets the requirements of student as customer of the academic libraries. Because of using fuzzy set theory, since customers' perceptions of SERVICE QUALITY are generally expressed subjectively in vague linguistic terms, this paper attempts to apply fuzzy approach to SERVICE QUALITY in YAZD UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES. The findings of this ranking show that the most important indicator for promoting LIBRARY SERVICE QUALITY is information access dimension.
