STRUCTURAL EQUATION MODELING OF THE ROLE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND JOB PERFORMANCE AMONG EDUCATIONAL MANAGERS: ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING AS A MEDIATOR

Abstract

 The purpose of the study was to to investigate the relationship between EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE; ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING and JOB PERFORMANCE among educational managers. The study used the descriptive (correlation) method of data collection. A number of 185 managers were selected using proportional stratified sampling and finally 133 questionnaires were completed. Three instruments EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE questionnaire, ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING questionnaire, JOB PERFORMANCE questionnaire was used to collect data. The hypotheses were tested using Pearson correlation and Structural Equation Modeling by SPSS 16 and LISREL 8.54. The results indicated that EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING and JOB PERFORMANCE had significant positive with each other. EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE of managers was significant positive an anticipation of ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING. Also EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE of managers was significant positive anticipation of JOB PERFORMANCE. But EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and JOB PERFORMANCE have an indirect relationship. It means that ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING plays intermediate role in relation to EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and JOB PERFORMANCE.
