Abstract

In order to study the effect of two methods of VITAMIN C use after Doms. 37 college females with mean age of 22.02, were selected non - randomly and were divided into four groups randomly. Group 1, (n=9), consumed 100 mg, VITAMIN C. Group 2, (n-10), consumed600mg of VITAMIN C, group 3, (n=9), consumed placebo and group 4 (n=9) , was the control group. The period considered for consuming vitamin (C) by experimentalgroups was 1 (hr) before eccentriccontraction up to 47 hr to contractions. To cause musele soreness. The subjects were ask to perform eccentric contractrions with their non-dominant hand on a special chair. The time interval for every centradion was 3 second, with 10 second rest between and 1 minute rest between every 10 contractions.Range of motion at elbow joint and one max , voluntary eccentric confraction were recorded before, 1.34 and 48 (hr) after eccentric contractions. Data were analyzedby (ANOVA) and the following results were reached. There was no significantreduction on range of motion in all groups. there was also no significantreduction in max.Voluntary eccentriccontraction in all groups. The use of VITAMIN C from Ihr bofore ECCENTRIC CONTRACTION.up to 47 (hr) ofter the exercisedid not have any reducing affect on DOMS.
