Abstract: 

this study investigated the effect of teaching self- regulating learning approach on educational performance and self-regulating learning among pre-university girl students in Ahvaz. Sample was selected including 60 girl students who had low educational performance in multi- process cluster method based on self- regulating learning questionnaire (SRLS) and separated to two groups respectively. Self- regulating learning techniques including self- assessing, targeting and planning, organizing information, self-sequentive, structuring environment, reviwing materials, and matching new materials for saving information in memory, was taught to exprimental group during ten sessions of training. After one month a post test, was taken from the two groups. Statistical analysis were conducted using SPSS software. The results at level of significance showed that there was a meaningful difference between test group and control group in educational performance level of self- requlating learning. This difference was remained unchanged unitl follow-up test conducted.

Abstract: 

The present research studed emotional intelligence and mental health relation with organizational commitment among high school teachers, hospital nurses and the water and power plant personnel.400 employee of the above mentioned occupation were selected by random sample. The questionnaires of Bar-on emotional intelligence (1980), goldberg's (GHQ) and questionnaires organizational commitment (OCQ) were performed. The results of the regression analysis showed that the emotional intelligence and mental health could predict the organizational commitment for the employees of each of the three jobs in a positive and meaningful way. The finding of the tow way variance analysis showed that the influence of the job type and organizational commitment are meaningful. Inaddition to that the gender influence and also its intraction with the job type on the job sati faction is not meaningful. the finding of the Tukey and scheffes post hoc test showed that there meaningful difference in job satisfaction among high school teachers, nurses and water power plant personnel.

Abstract: 

The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship among Locus of control, perfectionism and self-efficacy with test anxiety and academic performance in the students of the Islamic Azad University of Ahvaz. The sample consisted of 340 students of Islamic Azad University of Ahvaz who were selected by stratified random sampling from different colleges. The instruments for gathering data were including: Ahvaz Perfectionism Scale, Locus of Control Inventory, Self-Efficacy Scale, Test Anxiety Inventory and average of scores as the indicator of academic performance.This is a correlative study and for analyzing data canonical correlation and multiple regression were used. The result of testing hypotheses showed that there exists canonical correlation equal with 0.66 between the collection of predictive variables and the colletion of criterion variables. also the result indicated that only test anxiety but not academic performance is predictable through perfectionism, internal locus of control and self-efficacy.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to study the effect of career decision skills training on career decision making self-efficacy and career indecision on Islamic Azad university of Ahwaz students. To investigate research assumptions, in semi-experimental formatting, 36 subjects were selected through available sampling, and placed randomly in the experimental and control group. All two groups in a pre-test, post-test were assessed by Career decision making self-efficacy scale and Career decision scale. The experiment group was exposed to 10 training sessions, the control groups was not exposed to any intervention. The results of this research showed that career decision skills training, increased career decision making self-efficacy and it is not effective on career indecision.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this research was to examin the effect of metacognition training on academic performance of math lesson among students of junior high schools. For this purpose, 95 students of second graders of guidance schools (46 girls and 49 boys) of Dezfoul’Sardasht district were selected in cluster randomized method, then they put in 2 girl, boy experimental and control groups (totally 4 groups). At first, for pretest, student`s math scores were evaluated by a teacher-made test. Experimental groups of boys and girls students received metacognition training for 12 weeks, but control groups were trained in traditional method. Finally, a teacher-made test was prepared for post-test and all groups of girl and boy students (experimental and control) were examined identically. The scores obtained from pretest and post-test were analized using two-way between group variance analysis test. Results showed that metacognition training was effective in improving the academic performance of math lesson among boy and girl students of guidance schools. While, obtained results showed that sex factor was not effective on academic performance of math lesson among junior high school students.

Abstract: 

This research was conducted to recognize the effectiveness of group counseling based on REBT on self concept and school drop out of girl students.In this research statistical universe of survey were all female students of Azad university of Dezful, who had failed their exams in two consecutive semesters. among them 32 girl students randomly selected from all of exam-failed students in two semesters of year 2009.and also they were divided randomly in two 16 persons groups consist of experimental group and control group and has analysed using MANOVA and ANOVA.Results showed that the positive self concept and school successes (scores average) had significant increase in experimental group in compare of control group after intervention of group counseling. which showed the positive effectiveness of group counseling based on REBT on self concept and school successes.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this research was assessing the effect of training responsibility using Glasser' smethod in reducing identity crisis among female high school student's in Ahvaz. Sample included 40 female students in high school student's in Ahvaz which randomly selected multi-stage and two groups (experimental and control group) were handled. We used in Identity Crisis questionnaire to collect data in pre-test. Then the experimental group participated in 9 weeks and one section (90 minutes) every week. This study was experimental type (pretest, pot test) with follow up. Data analysis by Covariance (ANCOVA) analysis of variable at the level of significance was used. The results showed that training responsibility Glasser’s reality therapy method reduces the identity Crisis of Female students in the experimental group compared to controls (P<0.05).

Abstract: 

The purpose of present research was to examine simple and multiple correlation of mental skills, emotional intelligence and its components with athletic success motivation in individual and team sports. The research sample consisted 400 male athletes that were selected through randomly multistage sampling method. The subjects completed of psychological skills questionnaire (OTAWA_3), Bar-On emotional Intelligence Inventory and the perception of sport success questionnaire. The research hypothesis were: There is a relationship between psychological skills, emotional intelligence and its components with athletic success motivation. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression statistical method. The results of regression analyses showed that mental skills, emotional intelligence (self respect, empathy, responsibility, problem solving) an components of the emotional intelligence can predicts the athletic success. motivation.

Abstract: 

The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between spiritual intelligence, emotional intelligence and life satisfaction among senile in Ahwaz city. The sample included 150 subjects who were selected based on multi-phase sampling. For the measurement of the variables, Spiritual Intelligence Scale (ISIS), Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale, Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) were used. Statistical methods included Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis. The results indicated that there was a significant correlation between spiritual intelligence and life satisfaction and between emotional intelligence and life satisfaction as well. The results of regression analysis also showed that spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence were significant predictive variables concerning life satisfaction.
