Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Merrill’s task oriented model on learning and retention of 4th grade male science students. This was an experimental pre post-test design with control group. Population was all male students from Kahrizak District. Sample consisted of 60 students who were randomly selected from the population and were randomly put into two experimental and control groups. Instrument was a researcher made science test. Reliability and validity was found to be at an acceptable level. Analysis of the data was achieved by using independent t-Test. Finding shows that experimental group achieved better results in learning. The result indicated that Merrill’s Task Oriented Model is instrumental in learning and retention of primary students.

Abstract: 

Teaching via multimedia has attracted the attention of educators around the globe. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of power point and activity power point on teaching sciences. This was an experimental pre post-test design with control group.  Population was all 5th grade science classes in Hamedan which were equipped with data projectors. Three classes from schools were randomly selected for 2 experimental and a control groups. ANOVA was utilized to analyze the data. Findings showed that there is a significant difference between the mean scores of experimental group A, B, and C. Based on the findings activity based power point has the most influence on learning of sciences.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this research is to assess the effect of a researcher-made multimedia on the learning and retention of English language course. First of all, a multimedia was designed and developed by the researcher to be conducted in the experimental group. Then, the results were compared with the other classes. The researcher has chosen a control and an experimental group in her studies. Each group included 55 students selected via the method of multilevel cluster sampling. All the participants were the girl students of the first grade of guidance school from District 8 in Teheran. They were taught a lesson from their English book with the computer availability in a month. Instead of traditional teaching, the researcher- made multimedia was conducted for the experimental group in 3 sessions in the computer site. This research is quasi experimental. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. The results indicated the increase of grammar learning, grammar retention and vocabulary learning in the 0.05 significance level in comparison with the control group. The effect of the multimedia on the learning has been confirmed; while, the increase of dictation learning, dictation retention and vocabulary retention have not been confirmed and therefore, the effect of the multimedia is not confirmed on the retention of English in Iranian schools.

Abstract: 

For scientific and professional development of teacher's centers, to gain skills in information and communication technologies, especially the Internet considered a necessity undeniable. Thus, present study has been to examine the role of pre-service and in-service training on the self-efficacy of students and teachers Teacher training centers in the of Isfahan to use Internet. Present study descriptive– survey and the was the statistical population consisted of all of students and lecturers in teacher training centers. There were sample size was calculated for 180 students 180 students and 30 teachers Data collection instrument, questionnaire, Its validity through content validity Cranach's alpha reliability coefficient for the 94.0 respectively. The results showed which role of pre-service and the in-service training on self-efficacy students and teachers use the Internet Is higher than average levels In general it can be concluded Which There is a high degree of alignment between the opinions of both teachers and students. Because of this alignment is that the frequency of students who are enrolled in teacher training centers Are undergraduate. Most of them the associate degree in educational centers has been working as a teacher. Experience in teaching makes realize the importance of in-service training in the field of Information Technology and teachers as well as their own jobs that is a guarantee of employment; education and research have assessed the importance of information technology over the average level.

Abstract: 

A survey was conducted of the understanding of secondary school teachers in Karaj about their knowledge of Instructional Technology in order to assess the current state of instructional technology in that city. Two major elements of Instructional Technology: 1) Instructional Design, 2. the use of media. The population consisted of male and female teachers who were actively participating in teaching during the past five years. The sample consisted of 99 male and 105 female teachers who were randomly selected. Instrument of the study was a questionnaire of a total of 40 questions in the areas of Instructional design and use of media. Demographic data was also incorporated in the study. Findings showed that: only 5% of schools use media in their teaching; 35% of teachers are not familiar with instructional technology, and 85% are unfamiliar with the definition of instructional technology.  Also, findings revealed that; there was negative correlation between the combination of instructional technology and total scores of the questionnaire. There was not a significant correlation between total score of the questionnaire and comprehensive definition of instructional technology.

Abstract: 

The aim I follow in the current study is the needs assessment of university instructors at the 11th region of Islamic Azad University. This is carried out through identifying the scopes and priorities of their needs using descriptive-analytical method and consensus-oriented needs assessment (Delphi Technique). However, the population for this study included all full-time faculty members (treaty, formal and informal testing firm) Islamic Azad University area is 11.Using randomly selected 215 faculty members. The questionnaire containing 100 statements with a scale of 10 degrees was used for data collection. In order to analyze the data from the Friedman test was used to prioritize needs. Based on research needs and priorities in each of six categories in terms of faculty and Head of Department and Directors were appointed to the fifth priority. All their needs are determined in six scopes: Educational, Research, Personal-ethical, facility-oriented, instrumental, and social. Each scope was dealt with separately and the findings show that some differences exist between the priorities of faculty and Head of Department and Directors and also there is a meaningful difference between the occupational record and priorities of the faculty members. The views of faculty members and department heads regarding training needs and there is no significant difference, however, between the views of faculty members and heads of department director of the ethical issues of research and personal, economic welfare, and social Incentive significant. There are significant.

Abstract: 

Choosing the best books, data processing software, and toys is an important and essential task for anyone who works with children. As computer use becomes more common at homes and classroom learning, the selection of software takes on even more importance. Despite the growing need for software review information, however, the number of software evaluation studies and published papers on the topic has decreased steadily since its peak year in 1984. This article examines the current state of children's software evaluation practice and predicts what the future of educational software evaluation might look like in light of the potential of the dynamic nature of educational and edutainment software. Key issues are discussed such as the best way to evaluate the appropriateness of software for children at each age-group and the most efficient means of making this information available to parents and teachers.
