Abstract:

The aim of this study was to predict social media addiction in adolescent student based on depression and narcissistic personality by considering the mediating role of self-disclosure. The study was descriptive and correlational design and from the sample of correlation schemes and the statistical population included all male and female high school students in Tehran, from which 300 students were selected using multi-stage cluster method. Data were obtained through questionnaires of Social Network Orientation and Use (Momeni and Taghilo, 2016), Beck Depression Inventory (1978), Narcissistic Personality (Raskin & Terry, 1988) and Virtual Self-Disclosure (Chelon, 1978). Data were analyzed by multivariate regression analysis in SPSS-20 statistical software. The findings showed that there is a significant effect between depression, narcissistic personality and self-disclosure with social media addiction (p=0/01). Also, the proposed model had a good fit ( 2/df=3/09, CFI=0/971, AGFI=0/926, GFI=0/973, RMSEA=0/083) and the results support the mediating role of self-disclosure in relation to narcissistic personality and self-disclosure and social media addiction.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to predict marital satisfaction based on happiness and quality of life in couples in Tehran. The research design was descriptive-correlation. The statistical population of this study was all couples in 11th and 12th district of Tehran. 150 people (75 women and 75 men) used the available sample to answer three research questionnaires, including Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (2002), Quality of Life (1996) and Enrich Marital Satisfaction (1997) were selected. Descriptive and inferential statistics (Pearson test and stepwise regression) were used to analyze the data. The results of statistical analysis showed that happiness and quality of life can predict marital satisfaction (p <0. 001). The results of regression showed that the linear relationship between marital satisfaction variable and predictor components was statistically significant (p <0. 001). This means that happiness and quality of life are able to predict marital satisfaction of couples (p <0. 001). Also, the results showed that the variables of quality of life and happiness, with the standard deviation of 0. 26 and 0. 15, can predict 6% of the variance of marital satisfaction variable. The variable of quality of life has a greater role Conclusion: Happiness and quality of life play an important role in predicting marital satisfaction. In fact, happiness and quality of life increase marital life skills and consequently marital satisfaction. Therefore, in designing programs based on increasing marital satisfaction, special attention should be paid to the happiness and quality of life of couples.

Abstract:

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is a lifelong disorder that affects many people. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of neurofeedback training on treatment of adult ADD. A pre-test-post-test control grouped, quasi-experimental study was carried out. The research population was individuals with ADD (18-40 years old) who were referred to the Psychotherapy and counseling Centers of Isfahan City. 20 patients were selected applying convenient sampling and randomly assigned to control or experiment groups. Conners Questionnaire, Slow Movement Test and Diagnostic Interview were applied prior to the intervention. Data were analyzed by MANCOVA in SPSS-23. The results showed that neurofeedback training up to 95. 7% can ameliorate ADD symptoms and it was effective about 93% in improvement of inhibition skills, in adults. In general speaking, it can be argued that, having attention deficit disorder causes brain wave disturbance and neurofeedback can modify and adjust it. The effects are clinically stable. Hence, neurofeedback training can be used as an alternative therapy for ADD treatment.

Abstract:

The present study had two purposes: investigating the impact of spiritual/religious perfectionism on psychological health indices and investigathmg the impact of spiritual/religious perfectionism on dimensions of perfectionism. The statistical population of the study consisted of general population living in Tehran. Among the statistical population, 307 individuals (148 men, 159 women) participated in the present study as volunteers. All participants were asked to complete Tehran completed Spiritual/Religious Perfectionism Scale (SRPS; Besharat 2018), Mental Health Inventory (MHI-28; Veit & Ware 1983), Positive and Negative Affects Schedule (PANAS; Watson et al. 1988), and Tehran Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (TMPS; Besharat 2007). The results revealed a significant positive influence of spiritual/religious perfectionism on measures of psychological well-being, positive affects, and self-oriented perfectionism, as well as a significant negative influence of spiritual/religious perfectionism on measures of psychological distress, negative affects, and socially prescribed perfectionism (p <. 001). Results of regression analyses revealed that 70% of variance of the research variables explained by spiritual/religious perfectionism with the largest portion for psychological well-being. It can be concluded that spiritual/religious perfectionism is one of the determinants of psychological health. The findings also may support a new dimension of perfectionism, spiritual/religious perfectionism, separate from nonspiritual/nonreligious perfectionism.

Abstract:

Life satisfaction is one of the important components of well-being, that its low levels among people have many negative consequences. A lot of research has been done on the factors affecting life satisfaction, which one of this factors is resilience. In this direction, the purpose of this study was to collect and integrate the results of the relationship between resilience and life satisfaction and calculate their effectsize by using the meta-analysis model. In order to answer the meta-analysis question, from among all research on the relationship between resilience and life satisfaction in carried outthroughout Iran, 11 research studies which were acceptable in terms of methodology and ex-hibited inclusivecriteria, were sele-cted for the meta – analysis. The period of studies has been from 2006 to 2019. The combination of effect size by Schmitt and Hunts method shows that the average effect size of the relationship between resilience and life satisfaction in Iran is for a fixed effect model 0/411 and for random effect model 0/422, that both of which are significant at level of 0/000. Therefore, the average effect size of current study is 0/422 and this amount is moderate according to the Cohen criterion.
