Title

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERCEIVED ORGANIZATIONAL JUSTICE AND WORKPLACE VIOLENCE INTENTION

Abstract

 The purpose of this research was to study the relationship between dimensions of perceived organizational justice and work place violence intention’ forms among one of the INDUSTRY employees. Two hundred eighty nine subjects from production line workers were selected via random selection participated in this research. This research is a descriptive - correlation study and a set of questionnaires consisting of organizational justice with 18 items including of DISTRIBUTIVE JUSTICE with 5 items developed by Niehof and Moorman (1993), PROCEDURAL JUSTICE with 7 items developed by Moorman (1991) and RELATIONAL JUSTICE with 6 items which developed by Moorman (1991) and second one for measuring of work place violence intention with 21 items, which developed by researchers. Data were analyzed with use of Pearson’s correlation coefficient and stepwise regression analysis. The analysis data showed that there are negative significant relationships between distributive, procedural and relational perceived organizational justice with physical, verbal and total work place violence intention (P³0.01). Moreover, results of stepwise regression analysis showed that the RELATIONAL JUSTICE were able to predict significantly, physical violence (F=19.1, P ³0.01) and total violence (F=21.1, P³0.01) intention. Furthermore, PROCEDURAL JUSTICE was able to predict significantly, verbal violence intention (F=21.44, P³0.01).
